It’s is as simple as involving the student in your daily routines and giving them the opportunity to experience the Aussie way of life.

You will be able to learn about Japanese culture and customs, while also sharing your own cultural background and experiences with the student.
If you are interested in learning Japanese or improving your language skills, hosting a Japanese student can be a great way to practice speaking and listening to the language on a daily basis.
You may be able to develop relationships with and through your Japanese student that can lead to future business or personal connections.
Hosting a Japanese student can be a personally rewarding experience, allowing you to grow as an individual and develop new skills in communication, cultural awareness, and interpersonal relationships.
Host families are typically compensated for their expenses, including room and board, which can provide some additional income.
If you have children, hosting a Japanese student can provide a unique educational experience for them, exposing them to new cultures and ideas, and giving them the opportunity to practice their language skills.
You do not have to be a part of the hosting schools’ community.
There will be new friendships to be made and great times to be had. We also pay all hosts $50 per night to help cover your expenses.

Our multicultural team have a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, allowing us to better recognise the differences in culture and communication to support our host families and students. We provide a variety of resources to assist host families in having an enjoyable hosting experience.
GOLD Educational Tours is available for bi-lingual contact 24 hours 7 days a week in order to support host families and schools for the duration of the program.

No. Our students want to have an authentic experience so you just include your student into your daily life.
We don’t expect you to be a full time tour guide for your exchange student, even involving them in the little day-to-day activities like going grocery shopping makes the homestay fun! We only ask 3 things of our host families:
As much as you need at any time of the day or night. We provide 24/7 bilingual support to students and host families.
We also pay all hosts $50 per night to help cover your expenses.
Anyone can host! We encourage our exchange students to experience homestays with a variety of different families, which means whether you have children in the school community or you don’t have children at all, we welcome all different families to host with us.
