Frequently Asked Questions

To provide a caring and friendly home environment where your student feels welcome and safe.

No. Our students want to have an authentic experience so you just include your student into your daily life.

We don’t expect you to be a full time tour guide for your exchange student, even involving them in the little day-to-day activities like going grocery shopping makes the homestay fun! We only ask 3 things of our host families:

  1. Provide the students with a place to sleep in their own room or in a shared room with another child of the same gender.
  2. Provide the student with 3 meals a day including a packed lunch when they’re at school or when they go on excursions.
  3. Drop the students off and pick the students up from a local school or have a family member accompany them on public transport.

As much as you need at any time of the day or night. We provide 24/7 bilingual support to students and host families.

We also pay all hosts $50 per night to help cover your expenses.

Anyone can host! We encourage our exchange students to experience homestays with a variety of different families, which means whether you have children in the school community or you don’t have children at all, we welcome all different families to host with us.

Fill out the registration form and we’ll reach out to set up a home visit so we can get to know you better and match you with the perfect student.
